The 42nd International Rigi Mountain Run will take place on August 16, 2026, and promises another unforgettable experience on the Queen of the Mountains. New this year is a separate category for women aged 60 and over. The entry fee is CHF 45. First-time participants will receive a voucher that almost covers the entry fee and provides an incentive to explore the Rigi running route. The challenging main race covers 11.5 km and 1,343 meters of elevation gain from Arth am See to Rigi Kulm, where a breathtaking panorama awaits. This race is dedicated to the historic Rigi porters who carried people up the mountain 150 years ago. Important rules, such as the prohibition of walking sticks and the responsibility for personal insurance, must be observed. The organizing committee wishes all runners the best of luck and thanks sponsors, volunteers, and guests for their support. At the finish line on Rigi Kulm, participants can enjoy a stunning panorama of the Alps and the lakes of Central Switzerland.
