Rigi Bahnen AG recorded an exceptionally successful fiscal year in 2025, welcoming over one million guests and increasing revenues, boosted by a snowy winter and the 150th anniversary celebrations on Mount Rigi. Building on this success, extensive infrastructure investments are planned, including new trains and a gondola lift from Weggis to Rigi Kaltbad to enhance the visitor experience. In addition, the historic locomotive number 7 will be put back into service, and new dining concepts will complement the offerings on the "Queen of the Mountains." Rigi Bahnen is focusing on quality rather than mass tourism to preserve the mountain's exclusive character.
