The Rigi Railways are investing around 1.2 million Swiss francs in the modernization of Chräbel station, built in 1968 and a key hub for the "Queen of the Mountains." The aim is to increase comfort, optimize operations, and make the station largely barrier-free. The old, narrow platforms will be replaced, and new ramps will improve accessibility, even though the Rigi's topography makes completely independent accessibility for wheelchair users challenging. This comprehensive renovation will equip Chräbel station for the future, enabling it to meet increasing demands for capacity and comfort.
