The once magnificent Hotel Fürigen, an abandoned ruin high above Lake Lucerne for over a decade, will soon be demolished. Tellco Immobilien AG plans to build 60 to 90 apartments and a restaurant on the site, revitalizing the area near the Bürgenstock. While the historic funicular station will be preserved, the new buildings promise a modern living environment with breathtaking views of the lake and the majestic mountains, including Mount Rigi. Construction is expected to begin at the end of 2027 and last approximately three years.
