The Obergschwend – Rigi Burggeist cable car, which serves the recreational area on the sunny side of Mount Rigi and is over 65 years old, is due for a necessary renovation in 2027. Since its components have reached the end of their service life, comprehensive upgrades to the cabins, pylons, and control system are essential for continued operation. The total cost amounts to approximately 3.3 million Swiss francs, which will be partially financed through the sale of new shares in Rigi Burggeist AG. By purchasing shares, you not only secure the future of the cable car and the continuation of local operations, but also invest in the further development of the tourist area on Mount Rigi for future generations.
