The landslides in the Tannenbergstrasse area of Weggis, at the foot of Mount Rigi, have subsided, but the risk of rockfalls remains. The municipality is closely monitoring the situation using GPS measurements, drones, and geologists, and the snowmelt on Mount Rigi is currently having no effect on the landslide mass. In the short and medium term, technical monitoring systems and safe access solutions are being examined and implemented. The public is still urged to strictly avoid the closed-off areas.
