In case of bad weather, the August 1st celebration will take place at the Hotel Rigi Kaltbad.
Cancelled: Bonfire above Rigi Kaltbad due to fire risk.

Cable cars from Rigi Kaltbad to Weggis departing at 7:25 PM and 11:20 PM (no intermediate service!)
Cogwheel trains from Rigi Kaltbad to Vitznau departing at 8:15 PM, 9:25 PM, and 10:55 PM.
Cogwheel train from Rigi Kaltbad to Rigi Staffel to Arth-Goldau departing at 10:25 PM.
Evening hike from Kaltbad to Kulm and back: 10:25 PM departure from Rigi Kaltbad, 10:37 PM arrival at Rigi Kulm, 10:40 PM departure from Rigi Kulm, 10:53 PM arrival at Rigi Kaltbad.
Hiking down? From Rigi Kaltbad to Weggis it's about 1 hour 45 minutes. From Rigi Kaltbad to Vitznau it's about 1 hour 30 minutes (Note: the route involves a ladder due to a detour). Both paths are unlit and mostly through the forest. Hiking trails are best found using the swisstopo app. Camping/tenting is not permitted (but there is also no police presence on the mountain).

Attention: Barbecuing is not permitted due to fire hazard - not even at the official fire pits. If you like cervelat or bratwurst, you can buy them freshly grilled at the village shop in Rigi Kaltbad. Or, simply make sausage salad and eat them cold. Sorry.
