Rigi Railways is preparing for the future with new fares starting in June 2026 and extensive infrastructure projects. Plans include a three-week complete closure of the railway line between Goldau and Rigi Staffel in April 2027 for renovation work, as well as the introduction of four modern articulated railcars by 2030. While day tickets will become more expensive, fares for journeys to populated areas such as Rigi Kaltbad will remain unchanged to support local residents. These measures aim to modernize and simplify the fare system on the Rigi.
