The Rigi rope park is affected by the ongoing drought, which is leading to a noticeable water shortage. The shared water source for the rope park and the Alpenhof hotel is currently carrying significantly less water than usual. As a result, the rope park's regular restrooms have had to be closed to avoid further straining the water resources. However, composting toilets and greywater tanks for hand hygiene are available as alternatives. Christoph Estermann, COO of Outdoor Switzerland AG, assures that operations are continuing as normal and guests will not experience any restrictions. It is currently difficult to predict when the Rigi water source will recover. However, thanks to the solutions implemented, guest services can be maintained as usual.
